Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, also known to more people as CSGO has been one of the most beloved shooters of all time. It was released back in 2012 by Valve, the same company that owns Steam and made classic games such as Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead and Dota. Many people have felt like CSGO was falling a bit behind with all the new games coming out.
This has made fans call for a newer version of the game. It would seem as though this call is getting answered and rumors of CS2 are starting to float. With the rumors come the question, What is the Counter Strike 2 Release Date?

Before diving too deeply into this topic, understand that Counter Strike 2 has not even been announced yet. The name of the new game has also not been revealed. There is truly a chance that the game is not even real. For more information on that subject please check the link above.

Moving forward it would seem that at least something named “Source 2” is currently in the CSGO code. That would be enough for many to believe that something new is coming at least. There is a chance that the developers are just messing around with their players but that feels very unlikely at this point.
Richard Lewis , a journalist from Dexerto, has claimed that a CS2 Beta could be coming soon. He is someone who would be in the known and wouldn’t report on this unless he was hearing something from a very reliable source.
Adding all of that together, it would seem as though at least a Beta is coming soon. Now comes when the full release could be given to player.
