Deadlock Fight Night, the primary esports entity covering the early access Valve MOBA, Deadlock, has taken a small break that may last up to “a few weeks.”
Here’s more on when we can expect a return from DFN and what may be the cause of the break.
Deadlock Fight Night takes a “short hiatus”
In a recent announcement on the Discord server and on X, Deadlock Fight Night confirmed that they will be taking a short break to reset and recharge. According to the post, they will be back in “a few weeks.”
The cause for this could be as simple as a summer break, especially considering the program has run for 30 weeks, almost without a break. That is an impressive run, especially considering all of the changes to the game thus far.

But, a part of me wonders if this could also be due to some big changes coming to Deadlock soon. There are several heroes in an experimental build of the game that we know are being prepared, so perhaps this is to allow those heroes to be added to the game and give the pros some time to learn them prior to competing again.
